General Motors' Supplier Quality Excellence Award for NORMA Group

Maintal, Germany/Monterrey, Mexico, 4 September 2014 – NORMA Group, a global market leader in engineered joining technology, has been presented with General Motors' ("GM") 2013/2014 Supplier Quality Excellence Award for its plant in Monterrey, Mexico. This is the third year the US vehicle manufacturer has been giving the award to top performing manufacturers. With it, GM recognises the superior product quality, efficient processes and outstanding service of NORMA Group. The Supplier Quality Excellence Award is only presented to top manufacturers that meet GM’s strict quality criteria. Manufacturers are evaluated on more than 12 criteria including the timely delivery of high-quality products, smooth production processes and innovative strength. Eligible candidates must also have quality systems in accordance with standards such as IS0/TS16949 in place. NORMA Group in Mexico met or exceeded all criteria during the assessment year 2013/2014.

NORMA Group has been manufacturing joining elements including fluid systems and V profile clamps for automotive clients in Monterrey, Mexico, since 2008. NORMA Group operates two production facilities in Mexico and is gradually expanding its activities in the Americas region. A new plant in Brazil opened in April 2014.
