Apprenticeship program begins at NORMA Germany

Maintal, Germany, 3 September 2015 – At NORMA Germany GmbH (“NORMA Germany"), a subsidiary of NORMA Group, twelve young employees will be starting with their apprenticeships or work study programmes from August and September at the sites in Maintal, Gerbershausen and Marsberg. Over the next three years, the young employees will be trained in the professions mechatronics, industrial mechanics, industrial business management, toolmaking, machine and plant operation or earn a dual Bachelor of Engineering degree. A total of 41 trainees are currently completing their training at NORMA Germany.

These new trainees at NORMA Group in Germany were welcomed on September 1, 2015. “We see it as our responsibility to offer young people a training program and thus pave the way for them to have promising careers,” said Klaus Ditzel, Chairman of the Works Council at NORMA Germany. "Especially in view of the changing working environment in industry, it is important to always be willing to learn, to contribute with enthusiasm and thus help shape their own future and that of the company.”

Trainees at NORMA Germany can choose between eight professions in commercial and technical areas: industrial business management, warehouse logistics, electronics in industrial engineering, industrial mechanics, machine and plant operation, mechatronics, process mechanics and toolmaking. They can also obtain Bachelor of Engineering degrees at the Berufsakademie Frankfurt/Offenbach or the Technical University of Central Hesse in the fields of industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or mechatronics or a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.
