Employees around the world get involved in social projects on NORMA Help Day

Maintal, Germany, October 17, 2019NORMA Group, a global market leader in engineered joining technology, is holding NORMA Help Day at its sites located all over the world. Over the past few months, employees of NORMA Group have spent a day volunteering in various projects in order to strengthen cohesion in the local community.

“NORMA Help Day is an integral part of our Corporate Responsibility activities. Many of our employees are taking advantage of the opportunity to make a positive contribution in the communities surrounding our sites,” says Dr. Michael Schneider, member of NORMA Group’s Management Board. “On our annual NORMA Help Day, we put our Corporate Responsibility into practice by supporting social projects and facilities.”

As an example, at the company’s headquarters in Maintal, Germany, employees supported the Albert Schweitzer Kinderdorf e.V. in Hanau by painting, cleaning up and doing yard work. In Subotica, Serbia, a city playground was renovated and trees were planted. Employees in Qingdao, China, and Tokyo, Japan, removed rubbish from roads and sea sections. At the NORMA Group site in Malaysia, the participants assisted in a soup kitchen for needy people in Ipoh. In Juarez, Mexico, the employees were involved in renovating an orphanage.

The international NORMA Help Day took place for the fifth time this year.
