This connector uses a Double Lock retainer with double latch. It can be disconnected with a tool only.

SAE Quick Connector with secondary latch

This SAE Quick Connector uses a Safe Lock retainer with double latch and poka yoke. The double locking can only be completed if the stem is correctly positioned. It can be disconnected manually.
